It's 2019.06.01 on the lunar calendar today.

Hello and happy summer to you! How have you been?

I have been very busy being unbelievably lazy—*sloth* to be more precise—but my days of lounging around snacking on Goldfish must come to an end. I've deleted Twitter and logged out of Hulu and will be working to restore my brain and body back from its current state of decay.

My blog has done a soft launch with a

on finding a gayageum teacher in LA, something people have been asking about. I used to

regularly on other sites but I hadn't been willing to start on my eponymous site because I've yet to figure out how to make the text look right. But then I realized that it'd be many more months before I get to it so I decided to start writing first. Act first, fix later — I hope that's not becoming my motto. 🤔

Asian Film Fest of Dallas

My music video is screening early afternoon on Saturday the 20th and I'm playing a house concert on the evening of Friday the 19th in Dallas. How hot is it going to be in Texas in July ... am I going to melt?

Live Music Project

Gnapping Gnome, an instrumental trio piece I composed for my MuseumCamp pal Shaya's nonprofit, will make its premiere on August 5th in Seattle. The Live Music Project is dedicated to increasing arts access and arts community and is a great resource for classical music concerts in Seattle and Puget Sound.

Officially residing in LA

I moved out to my own tiny place, the first step in finally beginning to settle in LA, and am looking for work here to complement the copy editing, video and Wordpress stuff I do remotely for a wonderful agency in Brooklyn. If anyone is looking to hire a creative, musician or voice teacher, send them my way. (And yes, there was a coyote outside my window?!)

Wishing you a fun Fourth of July 🎆
