A Cornucopia of Content

It's 2019.11.01 on the lunar calendar today.

Another lunar month is here. I forgot my mom's birthday last month (and also Chuseok in August), which makes me wonder what the point of keeping track of the lunar calendar is. My reason was to remember the birthday and the big holidays and I've missed 2 of 3. I'll consider sending quarterly newsletters for next year. If you have any thoughts either way, just let me know.

I've been continuing to

and sharing new videos. The music video to "Dream of Home" screened at the Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival and my friend Sun Yeo's animation to "Little Bird" screened at Toronto Reel

Asian

International Film Festival. If you're thinking, "How much longer do we have to hear about the music video?" ...

My "Dream of Home" music video is now up online!

Huge thanks to my DP & director Jon Pears and the rest of the crew, Logan Lemmon and Krystal Ellsworth, as well as Ross for getting us connected 🍐🍐🍋 Click here to watch.

Great Pumpkin Waltz

As promised, here is a photo (and video) of me as Schroeder 🎃I lugged around my toy piano to 7 classrooms and played the waltz from "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!" for an audience of 4- to 6-year-old superheroes and unicorns. Many requested an encore so I'd say it was a success.

"Martine Syms and friends cruise around Los Angeles while talking cars, driving, routing, parking, and road tunes." This episode, that friend is me!

I put together of LA musicians with some car-themed songs. I'm not a particularly fast driver but I do talk at a speed of 120 miles/hour 🍊🍊

Thankful for Thanksgiving!! Enjoy your holiday.
