Singings Things 😮 😷 😮

Singings Things

It's 2020.11.01 on the lunar calendar today.

Hello to everyone. In this edition of the newsletter, I'm sharing three singing things and while putting it together, I thought to myself, "Oh a theme, all singing ..." and then remembered that that's my main thing, the singing.

I hope everyone is hanging in there or doing better than that, and that you'll have a chance to unplug and breathe in the coming weeks. I feel in dire need of a break and am excited to sign off email for some time.  💩 💩 💩 💩 💩

Your satisfaction is important to us.

I made the above video to tell the year-long saga of trying to obtain a duvet cover, set to my vocal rendition of Bach's organ piece "Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme." Highly recommended if you're into Bach or long-form customer complaints.

Ode to Joy

The Poytiano chorus of eggs came out of the refrigerator for Google Arts & Culture's Global Ode to Joy campaign this weekend. You can check out the playlist in celebration of Beethoven's 250th—which continues to be updated—for a wide-ranging mix of videos. Mine probably has the most protein and would be an eggcellent way to start Beethoven's birthday tomorrow.

Auld Lang Syne

If you're ready to greet 2021 with Auld Lang Syne—on Zoom, where else?—click for a sneak peek of my New Year's Eve set. I'm sharing a ten-minute performance with First Night Winchester in Virginia and will update the video description with the webcast time soon.

Currently reading Frog and Toad Tentatively Go Outside After Months in Self-Quarantine 🐸 I related to Frog and Toad stories as a kid and it's fun to imagine them living through 2020.
