Ohisitoctober

Ohisitoctober

It's 2022.10.01 on the lunar calendar today.

My extended sister group has an exercise tracker for the year and πŸ™ sent the above screenshot yesterday praising πŸ₯ for exercising three days in October unlike the rest of us. All I could say was ohisitoctober. I haven't gotten to this month yet in the several spreadsheets I have open at any given moment, with the exception of my background vocal tracking schedule, which I've been updating as I work on the album.

I'm just about done recording vocal harmonies and backgrounds for the band songs and will now shift focus to composing/recording the choral pieces. The horn arrangements on a couple tunes from Nick and Hitomi sound amazing and so like them. In other news, Ross and I solved a real-life mystery involving an organ found in storageβ€”a case that we musical sleuths were uniquely equipped to crack. It was thrilling.

UAP

I heard on the news that a Pentagon report on UAPs (Unidentified Aerial Phenomena) is to be given to Congress by the end of the month. It just so happens that Keith will be mixing our album track UAP at the same time. We recorded UAP to capture the terror felt in the face of pure, immense beauty. It'll make for a sonically spooky Halloween πŸ˜±

Another Spreadsheet

While combing through my drive, I found

I worked on regularly for a period in 2020, cataloguing items for

. It made me chuckle. I must have had a lot of time on my hands back then.

I can't remember the last time I used the Switch and I'm reluctant to sign on because I've all but abandoned my island village of Eudaimonia. I'm planning on making a music video set there for one of the new songs though so I will return some day in the next year or two.

There are going to be a lot of weeds to pull.
