Big Camera, Small Dog
Big Camera, Small Dog
It's 2023.03.01 on the lunar calendar today.

I took my big camera for a trip to Switzerland—including Zurich to visit the Carl Jung house museum—and discovered last night that every shot was overexposed and/or grainy, hence the VHS quality of the video below. This is not the first time this has happened (sorry Royce). Baby Bean said it would be great if I could learn to properly use my camera. I told her we can't do everything we want in life 👵🏼
My music video director Jon and I had our kickoff call and I feel so supported, inspired, and grateful to continue to collaborate with him. The same goes for the rest of my team, and oh my, what a team! A lot of love on the Jungian recording project.
I'll be performing at the May 2nd
in Little Tokyo. Come by for an APA Heritage Month show looking at the force of memory.

I know I've been talking about the Jungian recording project for the past couple years but here's me talking about it in a more focused way, starting with a discussion on a song inspired by the Lying Flat movement, the "useless" tree, and instruction I still carry with me from my college teacher Myra Melford. Hear about one of the three pillars of the album: Ground us in our humanity with reminders of our inherent worthiness, untethered to the expectations of a capitalist society. This video also encapsulates how I'd like to approach my artistic career and life in general.
